Gulliver Park
Valencia's Gulliver Park, which opened in 1990, is one of the city's most unique and iconic parks, inspired by Jonathan Swift's famous literary work "Gulliver's Travels". Located in the Turia Garden, this park stands out for its gigantic sculpture of Gulliver, a 70-meter-long colossus that seems to have been tied to the ground by the Lilliputians, as described in the book.
The Gulliver sculpture is designed as a playground where children can climb, slide, and explore various ramps, slides, and stairs that make up their bodies. This ingenious design allows little visitors to physically interact with the structure, encouraging play and imagination.
In addition to the large sculpture, the park has green areas and rest areas, offering an attractive space for families and visitors of all ages. Its location in the old Turia riverbed makes it easily accessible and connects it with other points of interest in the Turia Garden.
Gulliver Park also hosts cultural and educational events and activities throughout the year, consolidating itself as a key place for leisure and entertainment in Valencia. Its combination of creativity, play, and natural surroundings makes it a popular and beloved destination for locals and tourists alike.
